Huma Qureshi and Babil Khan made headlines after a recent charity costume party in Mumbai, where a notable interaction between the two was captured on video.
At the event, Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan and actress Huma Qureshi were among the many celebrities who graced the occasion. A clip of their interaction quickly gained traction online, showing a somewhat uncomfortable exchange as they posed for the gathered paparazzi. Babil appeared to be seeking clarity on why a mutual acquaintance hadn’t returned his calls, expressing his concerns to Huma. The actress’s reaction suggested a mix of discomfort and annoyance as she deflected his questions.
As Babil inquired, “Usne phone bhi nahi uthaaya mera,” Huma attempted to change the subject, responding with a light-hearted, “Later we will talk haa.” Nevertheless, Babil pressed on, asking if the person in question was upset with him. Huma’s brief reply, “I have no idea. Sorry,” indicated she was not keen on continuing the conversation. Following Babil’s departure, she was overheard telling a friend, “I want to slap that boy,” which only added to the intrigue surrounding the encounter as it spread across social media platforms.
The video prompted a flurry of reactions from viewers, many of whom found the exchange highly awkward. Comments ranged from inquiries into who Babil was referring to, with one user asking, “Kisne phone nai uthaya?” to others expressing confusion over the entire situation, like, “Who gussa hai mujhse?! What’s going on? Also, what’s this event?”
Other notable personalities present at the charity party included Wamiqa Gabbi, Tanisha Mukerji, and Sushmita Sen, among others, amplifying the star-studded nature of the evening.
On the professional front, Huma Qureshi is set to appear in the upcoming courtroom drama film Jolly LLB 3, alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. In addition to this, she has projects lined up including Toxic with South Indian actor Yash, director Vipul Goyal’s Gulaabi, and an investigative drama titled Bayaan. She is also anticipated to reprise her role in Maharani 4.
Meanwhile, Babil Khan is making his mark with his next project, Logout, a mystery drama helmed by Amit Golani and penned by Biswapati Sarkar. The film, which also stars Rasika Dugal, focuses on digital dependence and is set to debut on Zee5 on April 18, 2025.
