Abhishek Bachchan stars in the new film I Want To Talk, which has unveiled its trailer, showcasing the actor in a unique and unexpected role. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film features Abhishek with a distinctive potbelly as he imparts life lessons to various characters, setting the stage for what promises to be an engaging slice-of-life narrative.
The trailer made its debut on November 5, building anticipation for the film’s theatrical release scheduled for November 22. In addition to Abhishek, the cast includes rising star Banita Sandhu and veteran comedian Johny Lever. Although Shoojit Sircar is known for his collaborations with legendary Amitabh Bachchan, this film marks his first opportunity to work with Abhishek Bachchan.
In a recent interview, Shoojit expressed his enthusiasm for the project, describing it as a simple yet poignant reflection on life that evokes a sense of joy. He noted, “When I see the film during post-production, it truly brings a smile. I can confidently say that this is among the finest films of Abhishek’s career.” The director elaborated that he and Abhishek had long wished to collaborate but had been waiting for the right script to materialize.
I Want To Talk also represents Shoojit’s much-anticipated return to the big screen since directing the critically acclaimed October in 2018, which starred Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu. Reflecting on his filmmaking approach, Shoojit shared, “I tend to make films sparingly, often focusing on unconventional themes. My stories revolve around everyday life, and while some resonate deeply with audiences, others may not. However, I am grateful for the appreciation I do receive.”
The film’s first look and poster were released recently, generating significant buzz among fans and fellow filmmakers alike, including acknowledgments from well-known figures like Vicky Kaushal and Amitabh Bachchan, highlighting the excitement surrounding this new venture.
