Actor Ibrahim Ali Khan has recently found himself at the center of controversy following his debut in the film Nadaaniyan.
The situation escalated when Tamur Iqbal, a film critic from Pakistan, posted an Instagram message claiming that Ibrahim had responded to his review of the film via direct message. The exchange, shared by Tamur, suggests a heated confrontation between the two, stemming from harsh comments made by the critic.
According to the screenshot, Ibrahim’s message was highly charged, stating, “Tamur almost like Taimoor… you got my brother’s name. Guess what you don’t got? His face. You ugly piece of trash. Since you can’t keep your words to yourself, don’t bother, they’re irrelevant just like you. Ugly goddamn piece of shit I feel bad for you and your family – and if I see you on the streets one day, I’ll make sure I leave you uglier than you are – you walking piece of scum.”
In response, Tamur wrote, “Hahahahaha see that’s my man. This is the guy I want to see in the movie. Not that fake cornetto mushy cringy human. But hey yes that nose job comment was in bad taste. Rest I totally own up. Massive fan of your dad, don’t let him down.” However, it should be noted that the authenticity of this exchange has not been independently confirmed. While Tamur’s review does not appear on his Instagram, his response and the comments on his post indicate that he made remarks about Ibrahim’s looks.
Tamur also mentioned that Ibrahim has since blocked him on the platform. The controversy surrounding their exchange has sparked differing opinions online. Some users on Reddit suggested that Tamur sought attention and possibly manipulated the situation for publicity, while others argued that Ibrahim’s reaction was excessive, commenting that he should develop thicker skin if he wishes to thrive in the film industry.
