Immersive Gamebox has joined forces with Warner Bros. Discovery to unveil an exciting augmented reality gaming experience centered around the iconic Batman franchise, set to debut at various physical locations globally.

Immersive Gamebox has designed interactive venues where players engage physically with their surroundings while enjoying a richly enhanced gaming environment. Each Gamebox features entertainment rooms outfitted with advanced technologies such as 3D motion tracking, projection mapping, and touch-sensitive walls, catering to multiplayer gaming experiences.

Commencing on April 4, 2025, fans will have the opportunity to team up with the legendary DC Superhero in the game titled Batman at Immersive Gamebox. Participants can step into the shoes of Batman and dive into the vibrant world of Gotham City, embarking on an interactive quest across Immersive Gamebox locations worldwide.

The Batman at Immersive Gamebox Experience

In this Batman-themed adventure, players will need to collaborate to unravel a central mystery within the game.

This groundbreaking Batman experience merges the innovative technology of Immersive Gamebox with the rich narrative tradition of DC Comics. Intended for teams of two to six players, it allows participants of all ages to engage in solving puzzles, confronting renowned DC Super-Villains, and making pivotal decisions that shape their exploration of Gotham City.

As players navigate Gotham City, they will find themselves in environments inspired by the Caped Crusader’s universe. They will face off against classic adversaries such as The Joker, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Bane, and Poison Ivy, tackling challenges that require wit and skill. Players will solve intricate riddles, scale heights, maneuver the Batmobile, and confront crime in a quest to safeguard Gotham.

In Batman at Immersive Gamebox, teamwork, swift decision-making, and physical engagement are essential as players face a series of obstacles spread throughout Gotham City—from maneuvering the Batmobile and deciphering The Riddler’s conundrums to neutralizing Harley’s explosives and pursuing foes through the streets. This experience seamlessly combines action, clever problem-solving, and a cinematic narrative, all without the need for virtual reality headsets or handheld devices.

Lisa Paton, CEO of Immersive Gamebox, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to partner with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring Batman to life in this one-of-a-kind immersive adventure.”

How will you save Gotham City at Immersive Gamebox?

Currently, Immersive Gamebox employs more than 250 individuals across the globe, including in-store staff, central operations, and technology teams. The company operates a total of 33 locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

To date, the company has successfully raised $65 million in overall funding, noting that the Batman Arkham VR game enjoyed considerable success on the Meta Quest VR platform.

“While VR experiences are usually solitary, Immersive Gamebox emphasizes group play—bringing friends and families together, side by side in a shared environment,” Paton explained in a conversation with GamesBeat. “Our Batman experience utilizes projection mapping, touch screens, and motion tracking, eliminating the need for headsets or controllers.”

Paton further highlighted the accessibility and social nature of the game, stating, “This approach makes it incredibly welcoming, social, and suitable for families while still providing an immersive gaming experience for up to six friends. The adventure is tailored for ages eight and up, making it an ideal choice for birthday celebrations, family outings, date nights, or groups of friends seeking a unique activity.”

The development of the game was a collaborative effort between Immersive Gamebox’s creative and licensing divisions and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, driven by a mutual interest in crafting innovative, immersive formats that honor beloved intellectual properties.

“From that point forward, we worked together closely to create a game experience that aligns seamlessly with the tone and storytelling inherent in the Batman franchise,” Paton explained.
