Major Recall of International Delight Coffee Creamers

Attention to all coffee enthusiasts: International Delight has announced a significant recall affecting two of its popular creamer flavors.

On February 21, Danone US, the parent company of International Delight, initiated a voluntary recall for its Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Creamer and Hazelnut Creamer. This action followed reports from consumers indicating that these products had spoiled and, in some cases, led to illness.

On March 12, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reclassified the recall as a Class II. This classification means that while there may be potential health risks associated with the products, the likelihood of serious consequences is deemed remote. It suggests that the adverse health effects are likely to be temporary or reversible if they occur.

The specific items included in the recall are the 32-ounce bottles of Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Creamer, identified by UPC code 0 41271 01993 3 and a best-by date of July 3, 2025. Additionally, the Hazelnut Creamer, also in 32-ounce bottles, has the UPC code 0 41271 02565 2 and shares the same best-by date. Notably, as this date has not yet passed, the recall remains in effect.

According to the FDA’s statement, these recalled coffee creamers were distributed to retail locations across 31 states, which include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

In total, the recall encompasses 4,762 cases, amounting to 28,572 bottles of Hazelnut Creamer, and 7,747 cases, with a total of 46,482 bottles of the Cinnabon Classic flavor.

The wholesaler, SpartanNash, emphasized that the recall was conducted out of an “abundance of caution.” Customers who have purchased either of the affected products are advised not to consume them and to return them to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

“We are dedicated to your health and safety, and we adhere to rigorous standards to maintain the quality and safety of the products we provide,” stated the wholesaler. They further expressed apologies for any inconvenience the recall may cause. Consumers with questions or concerns can reach SpartanNash’s customer service center at 1-800-451-8500.
