The promotional tour for *It Ends With Us*, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, has generated considerable buzz, with reports of both an alleged on-set dispute and an ongoing legal confrontation. Recently, one of the film’s actors raised concerns about the disparity between Blake Lively’s claims in her lawsuit and his own observations during filming, marking yet another twist in this narrative.
Actor Adam Mondschein, who portrayed the OB-GYN in the film, offered a contrasting account of his experiences, noting, “My experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit. I was surprised to read her description of the scene,” as reported by People.
In her amended complaint filed in February 2025, Blake Lively alleged that the environment on set during the filming of the pivotal birth scene was chaotic and lacked the essential protections typically implemented for such intimate scenes. Her legal team asserted that she felt compelled to expose more of her body than she was comfortable with, citing that the director, Justin Baldoni, insisted that women depict childbirth without clothing.
In her allegations, Blake also highlighted safety concerns regarding the filming conditions, stating that the area was not adequately secluded. She described instances where crew members passed by her while she was positioned semi-nude in stirrups, covered only by a small cloth. Furthermore, she claimed that her requests for more covering between takes went unaddressed for some time.
Conversely, Adam Mondschein characterized the filming atmosphere as professional. According to him, Blake was clothed in a hospital gown, black shorts, and a torso-covering prosthetic to simulate pregnancy. He remarked that at no point did Blake express distress or dissatisfaction during the shooting. “From my perspective, everything felt proper and professional,” he stated.
Another contentious issue revolved around Justin hiring his close friend to play the OB-GYN role. Blake expressed in her lawsuit that this decision made her feel uncomfortable, as it resulted in close physical proximity during the shoot, which she found invasive. Adam countered her insinuations about his qualifications, labeling them as offensive, and affirmed that verifying his credentials would be straightforward.
As the legal situation unfolds, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s case is slated for trial in March 2026. Adam Mondschein stated, “Should I be called to testify, I will respond honestly and candidly, assured in the legal protections such a setting provides.”
