J-Hope Makes a Triumphant Return with “Sweet Dreams”
The highly anticipated arrival of J-Hope’s new single marks a significant milestone in the artist’s career following his military service in South Korea.
J-Hope, a member of the world-renowned group BTS, has unveiled his latest solo project, “Sweet Dreams,” which features renowned artist Miguel. This release signifies J-Hope’s first foray back into the music scene after fulfilling his mandatory military obligations.
The song begins with Miguel’s well-known falsetto, setting the tone with the line, “Sweet dreams come after hours.” J-Hope follows, introducing a smooth R&B hook that captures his distinctive style: “I just wanna love ya like love ya like love ya like that.” The collaboration is underpinned by a soulful rhythm and a playful synth melody that imbues the track with an enchanting energy.
Accompanying the song is a visually captivating music video that complements its dream-inspired theme. The narrative features a house levitating into a clear blue sky, with J-Hope navigating through a bewildered crowd of onlookers. Miguel’s cameo adds an exciting twist to the visuals.
Originally announced at the end of February, “Sweet Dreams” was preceded by teasers that generated significant buzz among fans, including glimpses of the music video and behind-the-scenes images from the shoot, which can be viewed here.
Prior to this release, J-Hope shared Hope on the Street Vol. 1 last March, a continuation of his exploration of solo artistry following his debut album Jack in the Box in 2022. As he releases this new music, J-Hope is concurrently on tour to promote Hope on the Street, with plans to wrap up performances in Japan by June 2025.
