Jaat Box Office Collection Day 1: News18 Showsha rated the film 3 out of 5 stars, calling it a “pure masala entertainer.”

The film Jaat features prominent performances from Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda.

Sunny Deol is making a notable return to the screen with his latest film, Jaat, which has made a significant impact on its opening day by earning an estimated Rs 9.5 crore at the Indian box office. As reported by Sacnilk.com, the film achieved a Hindi occupancy rate of 12.89% on its launch day, April 10, 2025.

Building on the success of his previous hit Gadar 2, Deol’s comeback is attracting considerable attention. In Jaat, he reunites with Randeep Hooda, who plays the role of a formidable villain. The film’s cast also includes Ayesha Khan, Saiyami Kher, Zarina Wahab, Bandhavi Sridhar, Vishika Kota, Praneeta Patnaik, Doulath Sulthana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ajay Ghosh, Dayanand Shetty, Jagapati Babu, and Babloo Prithiveeraj. The production of Jaat is led by TG Vishwa Prasad, Naveen Yerneni, and Y. Ravi Shankar.

News18 Showsha has given Jaat a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, highlighting it as a “pure masala entertainer.” A memorable scene noted in the review features Deol delivering the impactful line, “Iss dhai kilo ke haath ki taakat, poora north dekh chuka hai, ab South dekhega,” as he stops a speeding vehicle with his famed hand strength. The review praises Hooda’s performance, stating, “Randeep Hooda as a villain is what we should be seeing on the screens more often. He is fearless and scary.” However, the second half of the film faced some critique, with comments indicating that the plot seemed to falter and leaned heavily on action sequences rather than narrative substance.

Looking ahead to digital distribution, Jaat is set to make its way to Netflix following its theatrical release, according to OneIndia. If traditional Bollywood distribution patterns hold, audiences can expect it to start streaming by late May or early June. Although Netflix is anticipated as the exclusive platform, official confirmation has yet to be released.

With a strong opening and growing buzz, Jaat appears poised for a successful box office performance in the coming weeks.
