Sunny Deol’s Film Jaat Experiences Box Office Slowdown, Grossing Rs 1.86 Crore on Day 12
Jaat Box Office Collection Day 12.
Following a strong debut and several impressive days at the box office, Sunny Deol’s latest action film, Jaat, is witnessing a gradual decline in earnings. On its 12th day of release, the film recorded its lowest daily income to date, prompting speculation about its prospects as it approaches the crucial Rs 100 crore benchmark.
As reported by industry analyst Sacnilk, Jaat, which premiered in theaters on April 10, earned approximately Rs 1.86 crore on its twelfth day. This brings its cumulative collection to Rs 76.26 crore at the Indian box office.
On Monday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 10.36 percent. Its highest attendance was seen in Jaipur, closely followed by Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Ahmedabad.
Jaat is ambitiously targeting the Rs 100 crore milestone. Should it maintain its current trajectory, it could potentially achieve this goal within a week. However, the release of Kesari 2 introduces new competition, raising questions about Jaat’s ability to retain its audience in the coming days.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, marking his first major venture in Bollywood, Jaat is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. The film features a dynamic cast including Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, along with Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.
The plot centers around Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh, known as “Jaat,” who finds himself caught in a dramatic conflict during a train journey from Chennai to Ayodhya. What starts as a simple stop for food escalates into a fierce confrontation with Ranatunga, a former commander of the Jaffna Tiger Force, who has established a dictatorial rule over a nearby village, aided by corrupt local law enforcement.
As Jaat delves deeper into the village’s troubles, he witnesses the suffering and dread experienced by the locals. Unable to stand idly by, he resolves to take action, leading to an intense showdown between the determined brigadier and the ruthless warlord, with the villagers caught in the crossfire.
A review from News18 praised Jaat, stating, “This film is a treat for action enthusiasts, delivering all the high-octane excitement one could hope for. The fights are impactful, the villains exhilaratingly fly through the air, and the soundtrack is unrelentingly intense. The escalating tension and explosive encounters between Jaat and Rana Thunga provide an adrenaline rush, with explosive visuals and sound design that command full engagement from viewers.”
