Jana Kramer Reflects on Her Journey with Plastic Surgery
Jana Kramer has recently opened up about her mixed feelings regarding her breast implants during an episode of her podcast, Whine Down. This candid discussion occurred on February 23, shedding light on the actress’s choices following her divorce from Mike Caussin.
During a conversation with guest Kristen Brust, who expressed interest in a breast reduction and lift, Kramer shared her thoughts based on her own experiences. She emphasized the importance of personal confidence in such decisions, stating, “I don’t find it superficial at all in wanting to get a lift… if it’s something that you want to maybe for yourself, that’s okay.”
However, Kramer admitted that her motivations for undergoing surgery were not entirely self-directed. “My biggest regret with my boobs is that I don’t know if I solely did it for me,” she explained. She encouraged listeners to prioritize their own desires when considering cosmetic procedures, stressing that such choices should be made for oneself rather than external expectations.
Reflecting on her history, Kramer recounted how her marriage to Caussin—marked by infidelity—led her to consider surgery. “I would see the women that he was cheating with, and I’m like, ‘I look nothing like them,’” she recalled. Kramer thought that enhancing her appearance might alter the dynamics of her relationship, believing that a new look could inspire a change in her husband’s behavior.
Ultimately, Kramer chose to pursue the surgery after her divorce, framing it as a personal decision. She candidly described the physical changes that occurred after having two children, noting that her appearance left her feeling less confident. “After the two kids, they just sagged really bad, and so, certain things just didn’t go back to looking the same,” she reported, reinforcing how physical changes can impact self-image.
While Kramer admitted to enjoying her implants post-divorce, she expressed a desire for a different approach in the future. “I would actually like to take out my implants and just lift them again,” she stated, reflecting a shift towards wanting a more natural appearance. As she contemplates future decisions regarding her body, she is clear that she would refrain from re-implanting if given the chance.
In sharing her journey, Kramer highlights the complexity of body image, self-acceptance, and the motivations behind cosmetic surgery, offering her insights as both a cautionary tale and a personal exploration of self-love.
