Virginia Giuffre Passes Away: A Life Marked by Struggle and Advocacy
Virginia Giuffre, known for her allegations against Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew, has reportedly died by suicide. She was 41 years old.
Giuffre emerged as a key figure in the Epstein scandal, having filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew in New York in 2021. In her complaint, she claimed that she was compelled to engage in sexual acts with him multiple times between 1999 and 2002 while she was still a minor.
She was residing in Neergabby, Australia, at the time of her passing, as reported by NBC News.

Giuffre’s family issued a heartfelt statement to NBC News, expressing their sorrow: “It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia. She lost her life to suicide after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”
Jeffrey Epstein, a financier who was charged with sex trafficking, also died by suicide in a New York City jail in 2019.
Her family’s statement continued, highlighting Giuffre’s role as an advocate: “Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”
Giuffre, originally from Florida, had shared that she was introduced to Epstein by his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, at the young age of 16.
