Jeremiah Brent Launches New Rug and Pillow Collection Inspired by Manhattan
Jeremiah Brent, a prominent figure in the AD100, has a deep connection to the concept of home, which he has eloquently captured in his new collection of rugs and throw pillows for Loloi. Set to debut tomorrow, this inaugural line is steeped in the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Manhattan, a place that holds significant personal and professional meaning for him. “It’s really where I started off,” Brent reflects, emphasizing his desire to infuse New York’s essence into his designs.
The collection is structured around four distinct rug lines, each named after a street in the West Village, the culturally rich neighborhood where Brent not only launched his career but also resides with his family. The Barrow Collection, hand-tufted from wool and jute, showcases striking linear designs that echo the blend of modern and classic architecture in the area, inspired by landmarks such as the Barrow Street Nursery School. “There’s this particular corner that I love—the shadows and the light and the architecture,” he shares. “Everything’s rooted in a memory for me.”
Available in six color palettes and various sizes, the Barrow Collection highlights Brent’s affinity for local inspiration. The Bleecker Collection, crafted with a power-loom technique, features warm hues and contrasting patterns that recall the street’s importance to his family’s weekend routines. “We’re always running up and down it,” he shares, establishing a personal narrative that resonates with his audience.
The Greenwich Collection comprises hand-woven wool and cotton rugs that creatively manipulate texture and pile to add depth to solid hues. Meanwhile, the Perry Collection showcases Brent’s commitment to quality and functionality with its hand-knotted soumak weave, available exclusively to trade customers. “I always try to pull in things that not only inspire me but also that people need and can’t find anywhere,” he explains, highlighting his awareness of market gaps as an interior designer.
The collection also features a variety of throw pillows, including the Sullivan, inspired by a classic ticking stripe, and the Christopher, which offers a cozy waffle texture. “Throw pillows are the gateway,” Brent asserts, encouraging buyers to start small when introducing personality into their spaces without overwhelming budgets.
With a total of 20 throw pillows in the collection, Brent emphasizes the importance of individuality in home decor. The designs incorporate a palette of neutral, earthy tones—creamy ivory, warm beige, charcoal gray, and moss green—which reflect his natural inclinations. “The palette, for me, is always based off of nature,” he notes, reinforcing his intention for longevity in design. “This line is really about investing in something that you’re going to have for a long time,” he remarks, epitomizing his belief that every purchase should hold significance.
The Jeremiah Brent x Loloi collection will be available for purchase starting tomorrow at 9 AM on www.loloirugs.com, Amazon, and select retailers, marking a new chapter in his ongoing exploration of design and home.
