Third Annual Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer

On May 5th, 2025, at 7:30 PM (with doors opening at 6:00 PM), Sony Hall will host the highly anticipated third annual Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer. This event will feature an impressive lineup, including Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Tony Award-nominee Jeremy Jordan, Tony Award-winner John Gallagher Jr., and many others such as Krysta Rodriguez, Maia Reficco, Christine Dwyer, and Matt DeAngelis. The musical direction will be provided by Benjamin Rauhala, known for his work on Disney Princess – The Concert. The evening is set to be a celebration of music and community, all while supporting a vital cause—the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), focusing on research for metastatic breast cancer.

The Janice Jam was founded by Broadway performer Matt DeAngelis in memory of his mother, Janice, who passed away from metastatic breast cancer in 2022. This heartfelt initiative aims to capture the spirit of Broadway to honor those who have lost their battle with the disease and to support individuals currently fighting it. Each year, the event serves as a powerful reminder of Janice’s love for theater while also raising essential funds for those impacted by metastatic breast cancer.

Tickets for this poignant evening range from $50 to $100, with General Admission Table Seating available through the provided LINK. Additionally, there will be a limited number of VIP Tables, and standing-room-only tickets will go on sale starting April 14th.

The event not only showcases an array of talented performers but will also include the participation of Broadway’s own breast cancer survivors. Notable attendees include TV and Broadway star Krysta Rodriguez, Sarrah Strimel Bentley from An American in Paris, and Kara Lindsay from Once Upon a Mattress. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the inaugural Fighting Flamingo Award to Krysta Rodriguez, celebrating her courage in combating the disease and her advocacy efforts for a cure. The night will also feature Tami Eagle Bowling, a Stage IV breast cancer survivor, who will share her inspiring story of resilience.
