Co-hosts of The Breakfast Club, Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa, decided to handle their recent public drama with humor. In an effort to diffuse the tension surrounding them, they shared a humorous parody music video.
Earlier today, they released a playful take on the classic song “The Boy is Mine” by Monica and Brandy, rebranding it as “The Job is Mine.” Although their singing may not rival that of the original artists, the lighthearted nature of the video serves to ease the tensions of the previous week.
The situation gained traction when Jess Hilarious, who was on maternity leave, took to Instagram to express her frustrations. She voiced concerns that her co-host LoRosa had taken over a segment that Jess originally developed, leading her to feel that her position might be jeopardized. “I fought for that segment. That’s my segment,” she expressed. “If Loren is doing it now, it should be hers. But nobody told me anything. I was just coming to work every day, completely out of the loop. We supposed to be a team.”

Jess further elaborated that she felt unsupported by her other co-hosts, Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy, as they did not defend her amidst criticism from fans who seemed to favor LoRosa’s hosting style. “But not one person comes to my defense at all, ever, with this online sh—t. I feel played with, so I’m gonna play with gas. I’ve been quiet a lot,” she stated, highlighting her feelings of isolation amid the controversy.
Jess Hilarious joined the ranks of The Breakfast Club after a significant change in the show’s lineup, replacing Angela Yee, who departed in 2022 after a successful 12-year tenure to pursue her own nationally syndicated program, Way Up with Angela Yee.
