Jesse Eisenberg Hints at Exciting Developments in Now You See Me 3

Jesse Eisenberg has recently given fans a glimpse into the long-anticipated third installment of the Now You See Me series, describing the upcoming sequel as “truly miraculous.” Speaking at the BFI London Film Festival for his new comedy-drama, A Real Pain, he shared insights with Total Film about the production of Now You See Me 3, which is currently being filmed in Budapest, Hungary. Eisenberg also mentioned a personal incident during filming, revealing that he broke his finger—an injury he humorously attributed to performing magic tricks.

“We’ve been in Budapest for the last three months, and I almost made it to the end without breaking anything. The movie is really astounding, directed by Ruben Fleischer. This marks my fourth collaboration with him,” said Eisenberg. He continued, expressing his enthusiasm for the project: “Every day we walk onto set and pinch ourselves because the set pieces, the magic, the ensemble—it’s truly miraculous.”

Although specific plot details remain under wraps, it has been confirmed that original cast members, including Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will return for this sequel. In addition, the film will feature new faces, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike in significant roles.

The Release of Now You See Me 3 Is Set for November 2025

The first film in the Now You See Me series debuted in 2013, directed by Louis Leterrier. It introduced viewers to the world of underground magic through the character Atlas and his group of skilled illusionists known as the Four Horsemen. The ensemble performed breathtaking magic tricks while executing elaborate heists aimed at social justice, all while evading pursuit by various law enforcement agencies and a dubious insurance executive. Despite receiving mixed reviews—holding a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes—the film resonated strongly with audiences, raking in approximately $351.7 million globally and leading to the creation of a sequel, Now You See Me 2, which was released in 2016.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Now You See Me 3, and the wait has finally paid off with an official release date. Lionsgate is set to premiere the long-awaited follow-up in theaters on November 14, 2025. While the exact storyline remains a mystery, Deadline recently reported that the film will reintroduce audiences to the Four Horsemen while also presenting a new generation of magicians. Among these new characters, Ariana Greenblatt, known for her roles in Barbie and Borderlands, has expressed her excitement and commitment to learning magic in preparation for her role.

“I’ve been at the Magic Castle every other day, learning magic. My magic teacher is incredible; he is among the best. So I get to know all the magician insights,” Greenblatt shared.
