Jimmy Kimmel Takes Aim at Elon Musk’s Business Troubles

In a recent broadcast, comedian Jimmy Kimmel expressed his views on Elon Musk, highlighting the struggles of the billionaire amid a challenging economic landscape. Kimmel relished in discussing Musk’s declining fortunes, particularly the significant drop in sales for his automotive company, Tesla, and a staggering loss in his net worth, which has reportedly decreased by billions in just days.

“He may have to fire himself. Things are going so poorly,” Kimmel quipped, pointing out the unsettling trend for Tesla owners. The comedian noted an increase in vandalism directed at Tesla vehicles and charging stations, as well as incidents at showrooms. “This is not a good time to own a Tesla vehicle,” he added, underscoring the frustration many consumers are feeling.

Further into his monologue, Kimmel humorously addressed former President Trump’s sudden announcement of his intent to buy a Tesla, jesting about Trump’s well-known aversion to electric cars. Kimmel likened the possible impact of Trump’s purchase on Tesla’s sales to that of a single kazoo on the revenue of a party supply store. “It’s going to have the same effect,” Kimmel remarked dryly.

He continued to poke fun at Trump’s inconsistency regarding electric vehicles, saying, “He flip flops from zero to sixty in under 5 seconds. It’s really a thing of beauty.” Kimmel couldn’t resist making light of Trump’s mispronunciation of Tesla as “Tessler,” noting the rhyme with Trump’s daughter’s name, Ivanka. “You know?” he added, inviting laughter from the audience.

The host painted a vivid picture of Trump’s interactions with Tesla, suggesting, “Watching Donald Trump check out a Tesla was like watching a monkey with an iPad.” Kimmel included a mockery of Trump’s comment about Tesla’s technology, where he stated that “everything’s computer,” further enhancing his comedic take on the former president’s grasp of modern electric vehicle intricacies.

Kimmel wrapped up his thoughts by pointing out the absurdity of relying on the world’s wealthiest individuals, like Musk, to sell cars during their financial downturns. “The idea that we all now have to dig deep to help the richest man in the world who’s down to his last $324 billion sell cars is preposterous,” he concluded, leaving the audience with laughter and food for thought.
