Jodi Benson and Daughter Deliver Heartfelt Duet from The Little Mermaid 2
Jodi Benson, renowned for her role as Ariel in Disney’s original animated classic, recently joined forces with her daughter, Delaney Benson, for a touching rendition of the mother-daughter duet “For A Moment” from The Little Mermaid 2.
In a heartfelt moment captured on video, Jodi reflected on the significance of the song, revealing, “When I recorded this, I was 8 months pregnant with [Delaney]. So to be behind the mic with this song alongside Tara Strong, who voiced my daughter Melody, and now to be performing it live, is an incredibly surreal experience. I’m truly honored to share this moment with you.”
Delaney has made waves recently in an immersive production of The Little Mermaid at Miami’s Area Stage, an event that saw her mother come to support her. Earlier this year, the duo also showcased their talents in a staging of “Gypsy,” where they portrayed the characters Mama Rose and Louise at OFC Creations in Florida.
