Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson Crowned Champions of Dancing with the Stars Season 33
In an exciting conclusion to Season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars,” Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in the finale aired on Tuesday night.
The duo outperformed their competition, with Ilona Maher and Alan Berstein securing second place. Other notable finishes included Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong in third, followed by Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold in fourth, and Danny Amendola with Witney Carson taking fifth.
Reflecting on their win during a post-performance interview hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, Graziadei expressed the emotional significance of the achievement: “It means everything. This whole experience has been unbelievable. Honestly, everyone from the beginning, Ilona, you have been amazing this season. I love you, as well as all the finalists and judges — thank you for bearing with us. I tried my best, I promise!”
For their final showcase, Joey and Jenna delivered an energetic Freestyle dance to “Canned Heat” by District 78, featuring Jake Simpson. This routine uniquely incorporated Graziadei’s passion for tennis, illustrating his journey and personal connection to the sport.
In a reflective moment, he shared, “Before ‘The Bachelor,’ I was just a normal guy living in Hawaii, teaching tennis. This is what makes me feel most like myself. I never made it to Wimbledon, so this is my chance to shine.” Their final performance received a commendable score of 29 out of 30.
Judge Derek Hough praised their effort, declaring, “You were a true leading man. You were show-stopping this whole season. That was a perfect moment as well.”
Earlier in the evening, the couple dazzled the audience with a lively Cha Cha Cha set to Justin Timberlake’s hit “CAN’T STOP THE FEELING!” Graziadei overcame his pre-performance jitters, earning a perfect score of 30 from the judges for this routine.
Judge Bruno Tonioli lauded their Cha Cha Cha, saying, “It was really like a sparkling jewel of a cha cha cha polished to perfection!”
Remarkably, even before clinching the title, Graziadei made history as the first contestant from “The Bachelor” franchise to reach the finals of “Dancing with the Stars.” This milestone highlights the increasing crossover appeal of reality television contestants in competitive dance arenas.
