Controversial streamer Johnny Somali has recently spoken out while awaiting his upcoming trial in South Korea, advocating for his reinstatement on the streaming platform Kick and hinting at a potential trip to Busan.
Known for his provocative overseas broadcasts, Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, has stirred controversy in the streaming community since gaining notoriety for his antics abroad.
While Somali previously faced minimal consequences during his time in Japan and Israel, his actions in South Korea have led to more serious legal troubles, including charges related to public disturbances.
The streamer, who is currently banned from Kick, remains in South Korea as he prepares for his trial, scheduled for March. He has been formally charged with obstruction of business due to his disruptive behavior inside a 7-Eleven and attempting to delay public transportation by playing loud music.
Despite the challenges posed by his legal situation, Somali made a reappearance during a recent broadcast on Kick, where he addressed fans and teased a possible trip to Busan.
Johnny Somali’s Surprise Appearance on Kick
In a surprising turn of events, Somali participated in a video call during a January stream hosted by fellow Kick streamer SlightlyHomeless, who sought his “advice” regarding a romantic interest while traveling in Asia with Ice Poseidon.
Somali conveyed that he was closely following their journey and even stated, “When you guys are in Busan, I’ll be in Busan,” indicating a potential overlap in their travels.
The response from his fellow streamers was largely dismissive, with Ice Poseidon urging SlightlyHomeless to end the call after Somali’s unexpected appearance.

Before disconnecting, Somali made a plea for assistance in getting reinstated on Kick, demanding, “Get me unbanned on Kick!” His request elicited groans from the other streamers involved in the conversation.
What Lies Ahead for Johnny Somali
While Somali’s enthusiasm for joining other streamers in Busan is palpable, the likelihood of this becoming a reality seems slim, given the mounting backlash against him. Nevertheless, his reputation for creating provocative content means that any potential appearance could draw significant attention.
As he awaits trial, scheduled for March 7, Somali faces multiple serious allegations, which include violating anti-terrorism laws, making threats to female streamers, drug-related offenses, producing deepfake content, violating transportation regulations, and distributing propaganda linked to North Korea.
