Jonas Brothers to star in Disney+ Christmas movie
The Jonas Brothers are set to make their mark this holiday season with a new Christmas movie on Disney+. Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas will headline the upcoming film, tentatively titled Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie, which is scheduled for release in the December of 2025. The plot centers around the brothers as they navigate various challenges while attempting to return from London to New York in time to celebrate Christmas with their families. Oscar and Emmy-winning director Jessica Yu is at the helm of this festive project, with a screenplay crafted by notable writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, known for their work on This Is Us and Love, Simon. The Jonas Brothers will also take on the role of executive producers, collaborating with Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan on the production. Music for the film will be overseen by two-time Grammy nominee Justin Tranter, who is set to create original songs for the project. Their announcement, inspired by Love Actually, is already generating buzz among fans.
New Sinners trailer showcases bloodthirsty vampires
The anticipation grows as a new trailer for Ryan Coogler‘s vampire horror thriller Sinners has been unveiled. Set during the Prohibition era, the film, which will be distributed by Warner Bros., showcases Michael B. Jordan in a challenging dual role as twin brothers. The storyline follows their return to their hometown in search of a fresh start, only to find themselves grappling with a daunting evil awaiting their arrival. The talented cast also features Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Miller, Jayme Lawson, and Jack O’Connell. Sinners marks the fifth collaboration between Coogler and Jordan, following the acclaimed films Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Audiences can expect the film to hit theaters on April 18.
In addition, the premiere of The Wedding Banquet has generated excitement following its debut at the Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Andrew Ahn, this movie is a contemporary remake of Ang Lee‘s classic from 1993. The updated plot revolves around Min (Han Gi-Chan), who, after being rejected by his boyfriend Chris (Bowen Yang), proposes to their mutual friend Angela (Kelly Marie Tran) to help secure her a green card in return for financing her and her girlfriend Lee’s (Lily Gladstone) fertility treatments. The situation escalates when Min’s grandmother unexpectedly visits from Korea, pushing Min and Angela’s discreet plans into a full-scale wedding affair. The film, which co-stars Joan Chen and Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung, will also premiere on April 18.

Netflix has dropped the trailer for the eighth season of Love Is Blind, set against the backdrop of Minnesota. Las Cruces International Film Festival announced 10th anniversary events, honor for Helen Hunt
The upcoming Las Cruces International Film Festival is gearing up for its tenth anniversary, highlighting the festival’s evolution and impact. This year, acclaimed actress Helen Hunt will be honored with the “Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment” award. A special screening of her iconic film As Good As It Gets is scheduled at the Allen Theatres Cineport, accompanied by a question-and-answer session with Hunt herself. The festival has previously honored numerous esteemed actors such as Richard Dreyfuss, George Lopez, and Danny Trejo.
“Recognized as the largest student-run film festival in the country, LCIFF has become a significant platform for aspiring filmmakers and film enthusiasts, attracting nearly 10,000 participants yearly,” noted a festival press release. This year’s event will showcase over 100 films, comprising narrative features, documentaries, shorts, animations, and music videos from around the globe. Ross Marks, the festival’s founder, expressed pride in the festival’s growth, reflecting on how it began as a vision to create a premier film festival in New Mexico.
Alongside Hunt, director Cyrus Nowrasteh will receive recognition through the “Outstanding Achievement in Directing” award. The festival will kick off with the opening night film Brewmance, featuring performances by Alex Moffatt, Kennedy McMann, Steven Ogg, and Zoey Colletti.
Bosch: Legacy final season premiere date set
Prime Video has announced the return of its hit series Bosch: Legacy for a third and final season, set to launch on March 27. The season will consist of ten episodes, with the first four available at the premiere and subsequent episodes released weekly until April 17. Drawing inspiration from Michael Connelly‘s novels Desert Star and The Black Ice, this season delves into a murder investigation that reveals dark secrets, posing significant challenges for the main characters.
