Jonas Brothers Set to Star in New Christmas Movie for Disney
The Jonas Brothers are gearing up for the holiday season with an upcoming Christmas movie that promises to be a festive treat for fans. Fresh from their recent New Year’s Eve performance, the trio is returning to Disney in a project scheduled for release later this year, as reported by Variety.
The film, tentatively titled “Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie,” will feature a heartwarming storyline reminiscent of classic holiday films, centering on brothers Nick, Joe, and Kevin as they navigate a series of challenges in their quest to travel from London to New York in time for Christmas.
The band unveiled this project in a playful 40-second video that parodies the iconic doorstep scene from the beloved film Love Actually. In the video, the Jonas Brothers appear at a doorstep, presenting a large card that reads, “Hi, we’re the Jonas Brothers.” However, Joe’s enthusiastic declaration is met with Nick’s humorous correction: “Don’t say it! The whole point is you don’t say it. You let them read.”
After a comedic false start, the brothers successfully convey their message: “Sorry to bother you. But we’re making a Christmas movie. Coming out this holiday season. Only on Disney+.”
While casting details remain under wraps, the film will be directed by Jessica Yu, with a screenplay co-written by Isaac Attacker and Elizabeth Berger. Adding to the film’s appeal, Grammy-winning songwriter Justin Tranter is on board to create several original songs that will enhance the movie’s festive spirit.
In addition to their cinematic venture, the Jonas Brothers are also preparing for an extensive tour to commemorate their 20th anniversary as a band, having formed in 2005. With a countdown ticking down on their official website, fans are anticipating a significant announcement on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The band encourages fans to register for updates on the tour as excitement builds.
