Jonathan Majors Opens Up About Marriage to Meagan Good and Its Challenges

Jonathan Majors has expressed deep gratitude to his wife, Meagan Good, for the sacrifices she has made to support him during a tumultuous period in his life.

In a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show, aired on March 21, just days after announcing their secret marriage, the 35-year-old actor discussed the significant impact their relationship has had on Good’s career. Majors revealed that he had forewarned Good that their relationship would attract attention and scrutiny, especially following his conviction for assault and harassment against a former girlfriend in December 2023.

Reflecting on the public’s reaction, he acknowledged that many questioned Good’s decision to stand by him, stating that she faced considerable repercussions for her loyalty. “I had a lot of that,” Majors admitted, acknowledging the skepticism that surrounded their relationship.

Majors also commented on the complexities of their marital union, saying, “We’re in a relationship, now we’re in a marriage. I’ll keep it straight. We have moments of like, ‘Hey babe, it’s cool. I love you more than I can imagine, but this ship’s going down.’” Drawing a parallel to the movie Titanic, he used a metaphor about letting go of one another to avoid sinking with the ship, highlighting the challenges they both face.

He noted the significant personal and professional risks Good has encountered due to their relationship, asserting, “She took an incredible hit.” Majors elaborated on how Good, an established actress before their relationship, faced setbacks such as losing endorsements and being excluded from various events due to their association.

Despite these challenges, Majors emphasized that their bond remained strong. A source revealed just prior to their marriage that the couple genuinely cares for one another. Majors made the news public during an appearance on Sherri, where he shared how much he cherishes Good, stating, “I said to Meagan yesterday, I said, ‘Today might be the happiest day of my life.’” Expressing his affection, he added, “I love that woman so much.”

In a nod to traditional courtship, Majors sought Good’s father’s blessing before proposing, further indicating the depth of his feelings. He also shared that the ceremony was officiated by his mother, who is a pastor, which added a sentimental touch to their wedding. “We had my mom come, and she came to the L.A. screening [of Magazine Dreams]. My mother had never been to one of my screenings,” he revealed, highlighting the importance of family in their union.

Before marrying Majors, Good was previously wed to pastor DeVon Franklin, with their divorce finalized in June 2022.
