Tune in to Good Morning America this Friday, May 2, for a special performance by Tony-nominated Josh Groban. The acclaimed Broadway star, known for his recent portrayal in Sweeney Todd, will discuss his new retrospective album, Gems, and showcase his music. Viewers can catch him during the main news segment airing from 7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT on ABC, and he will return later for GMA3 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Gems features an 18-track collection that highlights Groban’s illustrious career, including two new songs: “Be Alright” and “Open Hands.” Additionally, a double vinyl LP version will be available on June 13, featuring two extra selections—”Broken Vow” and “Remember When It Rained”—chosen by Groban himself.
Among the notable tracks in Gems is the 3x-Platinum hit “You Raise Me Up,” along with the Billboard Adult Contemporary #1 “To Where You Are.” Fans will also find beloved renditions such as “Over The Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz, “Pure Imagination” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and his collaboration with Kelly Clarkson on “All I Ask of You” from The Phantom of the Opera. The album releases on May 2.
Gems coincides with Groban’s highly anticipated five-night engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars, titled Josh Groban: Gems — Exclusive Las Vegas Engagement. This unique series will feature special performances from May 9 to 17 in 2025. Tickets can be found HERE. Later in the year, he will also perform at The Hollywood Bowl on September 5 and 6, accompanied by Thomas Wilkins and the LA Philharmonic, showcasing music from Gems and more.
Josh Groban made his Broadway debut in 2016 with a Tony-nominated role as Pierre in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1912. Most recently, he portrayed the titular character in the revival of Sweeney Todd in Spring 2023, a performance that garnered both Tony and Grammy nominations, as well as wide acclaim.
