Jota to Showcase Cadillac at Goodwood Members’ Meeting

Next month, the Goodwood circuit will witness the debut of World Endurance Championship Hypercar machinery as Jota’s Cadillac prepares to perform demonstration laps during the Members’ Meeting.

Drivers Alex Lynn and Will Stevens from Jota are set to undertake a series of high-speed demonstration laps in one of the team’s V-Series.R LMDhs, scheduled for April 12-13. This event marks a significant occasion, as it is believed to be the first time a contemporary top-tier sports car has raced around the Goodwood track since its golden years in the 1960s.

The presence of the LMDh models commemorates the 25th anniversary of Jota Sport, a milestone for the team, which has become an official factory squad for Cadillac this season.

In addition to the LMDh, Jota will display a variety of historically significant vehicles, including their Le Mans class winners—having achieved victory in the LMP2 category three times at the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe—and a Porsche 963 LMDh that Jota fielded in the WEC last year.

David Clark, co-founder of Jota, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Goodwood holds a special place in my heart, and I have a rich personal history there. Each time Jota is involved in something at Goodwood, it brings me immense joy.” He continued, “This year is particularly significant for everyone at Jota Group, including our talented teams at Jota Composites and Jota Engineering. Presenting our Cadillac Hertz Team Jota V-Series.R LMDh on iconic UK ground before a passionate audience is a tremendous honor and will undoubtedly be a highlight of our 25th-anniversary celebration.”

The Duke of Richmond also shared his excitement, remarking, “The Members’ Meeting is always a delightful occasion for motorsport fans, showcasing a variety of vehicles. I am thrilled that our attendees will witness the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R LMDh in action, marking the first time a current car from the top echelon of sports car racing has graced the Motor Circuit since its closure in the sixties.”

Jota’s participation in the Members’ Meeting is further highlighted by the recent news that Bruno Senna will drive his uncle Ayrton Senna’s 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix-winning Lotus, celebrating 40 years since the legendary triple champion’s first Formula 1 victory.

Additional sportscar activities at the event will include a special GT3 shootout featuring vehicles homologated from 2006 to 2012.
