Julien Baker and Torres Announce North American Tour
Indie music artists Julien Baker and Torres are set to embark on a North American tour to promote their eagerly anticipated collaborative country album, Send a Prayer My Way.
The tour will commence on April 23 at The National in Richmond, Virginia, and will conclude on May 12 at the Admiral in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to these headlining performances, the duo will also take part in various festivals, including the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, scheduled for late March and the Zootown Music Festival in Missoula, Montana, slated for July.
Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting February 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can find detailed information and updates on their official website.
Excitement surrounding Send a Prayer My Way has been building since the release of their debut single, “Sugar in the Tank,” earlier this year. This was quickly followed by another track titled “Sylvia.” The album itself is set to be released on April 18 through Matador Records.
The project is the result of a long-held ambition; Baker and Torres first discussed the idea of creating a country album back in 2016 after sharing a stage together. Despite their decision, both artists have pursued their individual careers over the years. Torres released her latest album, What an Enormous Room, last year, while Baker’s Little Oblivions debuted in 2021. Additionally, Baker has been part of the band boygenius, whose debut album, The Record, was launched in 2023.
