Blake Lively’s allegations detail claims of a hostile work environment during It Ends With Us production.

Blake Lively has initiated legal action against actor Justin Baldoni, asserting various instances of sexual harassment and retaliatory behavior amid the filming of the upcoming project, It Ends With Us.

In response to Lively’s allegations, Justin Baldoni’s publicist, Jennifer Abel, has issued a statement regarding the issues raised in Lively’s complaint submitted to the California Civil Rights Department. The claims include accusations of a hostile workplace and an alleged campaign to undermine Lively’s reputation during the film’s promotional phase.

Abel took to a private PR & Marketing Facebook group to shed light on a series of leaked text messages reportedly involving herself, Baldoni, and PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan. Lively contends these communications were part of an intentional effort to damage her image. Abel refuted the allegations, insisting that there was no coordinated endeavor to malign Lively.

“The selected messages fail to represent the complete context, missing the fact that there was no ‘smear’ intended, no negative media was orchestrated, and while we were ready for potential backlash, it was unnecessary because the public had already formed its own narratives,” Abel expressed in her remarks.

Abel acknowledged that her team had taken enjoyment from the negative comments directed at Lively, referring to it as a “human error.” She contended that the public’s backlash was spontaneous, sparked by social media dynamics that placed the two actors in opposition during the film’s publicity events.

Lively’s lawsuit outlines specific instances where Baldoni purportedly fostered a hostile work atmosphere, detailing inappropriate discussions concerning his addiction to pornography, sharing of explicit content, and making disparaging remarks about her body image. The situation reportedly culminated in a large team meeting, during which Lively urged Baldoni to halt such behaviors.

Furthermore, Lively has accused Baldoni of violating a pre-established agreement that anticipated marketing the movie by emphasizing her character’s resilience rather than the darker themes surrounding domestic violence. However, Baldoni allegedly shifted the focus during interviews to emphasize the film’s serious issues, going against what was previously discussed.

These developments have ignited significant conversation regarding Baldoni and his representation, with audience opinions divided about the allegations and the overall management of the incident. While both Baldoni and Lively have remained relatively silent on the matter since the lawsuit’s emergence, the ongoing controversy highlights the continuing dialogue within Hollywood about accountability and workplace conduct.
