As Justin Vernon prepares for the upcoming release of his new Bon Iver album, SABLE, fABLE, he is simultaneously expanding his creative horizons into the literary realm. The micro-distributed print magazine Little Engines has announced that his debut published poems will feature in its 10th edition. A preview of the issue offers a glimpse of one of Vernon’s poems, “Could’ve or Should’ve,” printed on pink paper alongside a charming illustration of a flower pot.
SABLE, fABLE serves as a follow-up to last year’s SABLE, EP. The album features 12 tracks and is set to be released on April 11 through Jagjaguwar. It begins with the four songs included in the previous EP: “…,” “Things Behind Things Behind Things,” “S P E Y S I D E,” and “Awards Season.” For this latest musical endeavor, Vernon has enlisted the talents of Danielle Haim, Dijon, and Flock of Dimes.
Recently, Vernon unveiled another single from SABLE, fABLE titled “Everything Is Peaceful Love.” This release was accompanied by a music video directed by John Wilson, known for his work on HBO’s How To with John Wilson.
