Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff made a notable appearance at the Majestic Theatre, attending the acclaimed musical GYPSY, which features the extraordinary talent of six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald. Upon their arrival, the audience erupted into a standing ovation, enthusiastically cheering and chanting “Ka-ma-la” until the orchestra began the overture for GYPSY.

GYPSY features a compelling book by Tony Award Winner Arthur Laurents, with music by Tony and Academy Award Winner Jule Styne, and lyrics crafted by the legendary Stephen Sondheim, who is a recipient of multiple Tony, Grammy, Academy Awards, and a Pulitzer Prize. The choreography is led by four-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, with music direction and supervision by Andy Einhorn, who also contributed additional arrangements. Moreover, the orchestration for the musical is enhanced by Tony Award winner Daryl Waters.
