Karan Johar frequently shares thought-provoking reflections on his social media platforms. His recent post highlights his insights on personal boundaries.
Karan Johar recently discussed the significance of establishing firm boundaries in relationships, emphasizing their non-negotiable nature. In an Instagram post, the acclaimed filmmaker revealed that he had previously tolerated various behaviors to maintain certain relationships. He conveyed his newfound understanding by stating, “I used to tolerate a lot just to keep people in my life.. Now I know my boundaries aren’t negotiable.”
In addition to his recent personal revelations, Karan Johar also expressed admiration for the writers at TVF (The Viral Fever), recognizing their unique blend of groundedness and commercial appeal. He noted that these writers excel in creating engaging content, describing them as “rooted, commercial, and mazedaar.”
During a segment on “Game Changers” hosted by Komal Nahta, Karan was asked to discuss the writers he admires. He confidently praised the talent at TVF, stating, “The writers of TVF are fabulous. They are rooted, commercial, and fun. They write very well.”
Furthermore, Karan reflected on his experience with actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan during the production of the 2012 film “Student of the Year.” He shared insights into the early stages of their careers, emphasizing that he recognized their potential from the outset.
When questioned about his initial confidence in these actors, Karan revealed that he had always considered them stars rather than newcomers. He remarked, “No, I’m telling the truth, I won’t lie. For me, it was just that I told my team – Siddharth and Varun, these two were my assistants, and I met Alia for the first time when she came from school. And when I launched them, I told everyone on the set, the choreographer, the production, the designer, to treat these three like megastars.”
He elaborated, explaining that instilling confidence in the young actors was essential for their performances. Karan stated, “They asked what it meant. I said, ‘If you give them that confidence, they will face the camera like stars. If you treat them like newcomers, they will give you the performance of newcomers.’ And they performed like stars.”
