Kartik Aaryan Collaborates with Anurag Basu and Sreeleela in Gangtok: Behind the Scenes Footage Sparks Buzz
In an exciting turn for Bollywood enthusiasts, Kartik Aaryan is engaged in filming a new project helmed by acclaimed director Anurag Basu. The project marks the debut of Sreeleela, a rising star from the South Indian film industry, in Bollywood. Currently, the film is being shot in the picturesque setting of Gangtok.
Recently, two videos from the sets have surfaced online, becoming the talk of the town among fans. The first clip captures a lively performance featuring Kartik and Sreeleela onstage, both wielding guitars. The teaser leading up to this moment had indicated Kartik’s portrayal of a musician, making the revelation that Sreeleela is part of his band all the more thrilling for fans. The footage showcases a modern rendition of the beloved classic “Tu Meri Zindagi Hai” from the iconic film Aashiqui (1990). In this scene, Kartik energetically lip-syncs while director Anurag Basu directs with enthusiasm from the sidelines.
The second video, however, takes a surprising and dramatic twist. Viewers are left stunned as Kartik’s character exhibits a fierce demeanor, brandishing his guitar with aggression as he repeatedly strikes a man during the performance. The scene escalates when he forcefully kicks the individual off the stage and leaps down, adding an unexpected layer of intensity to the act.
Previously, another image of Kartik circulated online, showcasing him with a rugged appearance while riding a motorcycle alongside Sreeleela. At that time, he was seen with his hand bandaged, suggesting a possible injury, alongside a disheveled hairstyle and beard.
While the official title of the film remains undisclosed, early indications point to a romantic musical narrative. Fans were given their first glimpse of the project on February 15, when the initial look was revealed, depicting Kartik as a forlorn singer and Sreeleela as his captivating love interest.
It’s worth noting that the film initially had Triptii Dimri set to star opposite Kartik. However, she was replaced by Sreeleela, with the reasons for this change not yet made public. When questioned about this casting decision at a recent event, Anurag Basu expressed his fondness for Triptii, stating, “She is still my best friend, I really like her as an actress. You should ask her too what happened.”
