Xiaomi has unveiled official renders of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, set for release in China on October 29. With the launch imminent, detailed specifications for the Pro model have emerged, highlighting its impressive features and capabilities.
Significant Battery and Innovative Camera Technology
On the Chinese platform Weibo, Xiaomi’s public relations manager, Wang Hua, confirmed key specifications for the upcoming series. The Xiaomi 15 Pro will indeed sport a 2K resolution display, featuring a 5X periscope telephoto camera on its rear. Additionally, both models in the Xiaomi 15 series will showcase displays with symmetrical bezels measuring just 1.38 mm around the edges. Notably, the devices will support full brightness DC dimming, resulting in a 10% reduction in power consumption and achieving a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. This remarkable brightness level is attributed to the innovative custom M9 materials used in their construction.
While the precise composition of M9 materials remains undisclosed, they are expected to enhance the display’s brightness while minimizing battery drain.

Underneath the surface, the series is powered by Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with a custom microarchitecture scheduler created by Xiaomi. This combination aims to deliver a significant 19% improvement in task execution efficiency and a notable 45.7% reduction in application startup times.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is equipped with a substantial 6,100 mAh battery, marking a considerable enhancement from the 4,880 mAh battery found in its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The standard Xiaomi 15 is anticipated to feature a robust 5,500 mAh battery, supporting rapid charging capabilities of 90W wired and 50W wireless.
The design of the Xiaomi 15 series has also been clarified, maintaining a familiarity with preceding models through a characteristic square-shaped triple rear camera array. The camera system on the Xiaomi 15 Pro is rumored to consist of:
– A 50 MP main camera with an f/1.4 bright aperture
– A 50 MP ultra-wide lens
– A new 50 MP Sony IMX858 5X telephoto camera
– A 32 MP front camera
