Jaejoong Marks Special Day to Celebrate BTS’s Jin’s Discharge from Military
Jin, the oldest member of BTS, officially completed his military service in June of this year.
Kim Jaejoong, formerly of TVXQ and JYJ, has demonstrated his loyalty as a fan by highlighting a notable date on his calendar related to Jin’s return. This gesture surprised many, as Jaejoong admitted he does not have a close relationship with Jin. Nevertheless, he felt compelled to mark the occasion of Jin’s discharge after an 18-month period of service in the South Korean military.
Jaejoong recently showcased his calendar on Bubble, a platform targeted at K-pop fandoms, which led to widespread sharing across various social media. “Kim Jaejoong, former TVXQ member and actor, shared a screenshot revealing that he noted Jin’s discharge was set for the 12th of June. He mentioned he was unsure why he marked the date since they are not particularly close, yet he wanted to extend his congratulations,” one enthusiastic fan shared.
Fans were delighted to witness Jaejoong’s thoughtful gesture towards Jin, despite the significant generational difference and their seven-year age gap. One fan expressed hopes for a collaboration, stating, “Oh please let Jin be a guest on Jae’s show; they would form an iconic duo!”
Another added humorously, “This seems like a dream collaboration in the making – Jaefriends featuring Jin could work wonders!” Such sentiments reflect the positive reception of Jaejoong’s acknowledgment among his fans.
Furthermore, fans excitedly noted that both artists have ventured into the rock music genre, leading one commenter to wistfully muse, “If they ever collaborated, my Cassiarmy heart would simply explode.”
This isn’t the first instance of Jaejoong expressing admiration for BTS. In 2021, he publicly shared his love for the group, even promoting RM’s song “Seoul” on Instagram. During a fan Q&A, he playfully proclaimed his favorite BTS member, eliciting great excitement from the ARMY fanbase.
When prompted during a session whether he liked BTS, Jaejoong cheekily responded, “I like Jimin,” further endearing himself to fans. His continued support for BTS signifies a respected camaraderie among K-pop artists, celebrating each other’s accomplishments while fostering a spirit of fandom that spans across generations.
