South Korean singer and television personality Kim Jong Min has shared the exciting news of his forthcoming marriage. On the January 12 episode of KBS’ hit variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” Kim revealed not only the date but also the particulars regarding his wedding, including the hosts who will officiate the ceremony. Although he appeared slightly anxious, his enthusiasm for the occasion was evident.
The 45-year-old star, a familiar face on “2 Days & 1 Night” for many seasons, made the announcement with great joy. “I have something I’d like to announce today. I, Kim Jong Min, am getting married,” he proclaimed, eliciting cheers from his fellow cast members. He specified that the wedding will take place on April 20 at 6 PM at a private venue in Seoul.
Kim’s bride is a non-celebrity who is 11 years his junior and is reportedly the CEO of a business. During the same episode, he shared that his co-star Jo Se Ho, who recently tied the knot himself, is assisting him in planning the wedding.
Jo Se Ho has connected Kim with his wedding planner, and Kim mentioned that the wedding decor will likely mirror that of Jo’s recent celebration, ensuring a cohesive style for both events. The entertainment lineup for the wedding includes national MC Yoo Jae Suk, who will host the first part, while Moon Se Yoon and Jo Se Ho will co-host the latter half of the evening.
When questioned about honeymoon plans, Kim revealed aspirations to travel to the South of France. This prompted playful banter from his castmates, who joked about accompanying the newlyweds on their honeymoon, suggesting it could enhance the show’s appeal. Despite the lighthearted jokes, the entire cast of “2 Days & 1 Night” expressed genuine happiness for Kim Jong Min and congratulated him most warmly.
The singer first went public with his relationship in July of the previous year while appearing on the MBC every1 sports show “Cheerful Golfer’s Life Time Best Challenge,” confirming he was dating a woman outside of the entertainment industry.
