KSI’s highly anticipated return to the boxing ring against Dillon Danis has been postponed due to the YouTuber’s unexpected illness. This unfortunate turn of events has led to the fight, initially scheduled for March 29 in Manchester, being delayed indefinitely.
The matchup was previously set for January 2023, but Danis withdrew just days before the event, prompting KSI to find a substitute in FaZe Temperrr. Now, as the situation unfolds, Misfits has announced that ticket holders can expect updates soon, assuring that all tickets will remain valid for the new date.
KSI Details His Health Struggles Ahead of the Fight
In a recent video on X, KSI provided a candid update regarding his health, revealing that his illness has hindered not only his training but also his ability to promote the upcoming match.
Expressing his disappointment, he stated, “Me versus Danis, it’s just not going to happen on March 29. I’ve tried my hardest, but my body has legit given up. I’m in bed taking antibiotics and trying to recover, but it’s tough. I’m struggling with constant coughing and feeling unwell.”
KSI elaborated on his symptoms, mentioning persistent headaches and a noticeable decline in stamina, which has greatly affected his training regime. He noted that he has lost his sense of taste and smell, describing the situation as utterly frustrating and demoralizing.
Despite feeling unwell, KSI expressed his determination to compete against Danis, apologizing to fans and the Misfits organization for the match’s postponement.
Dillon Danis Taunts KSI Over Fight Delay
Dillon Danis swiftly took to social media to mock KSI regarding the postponement, referencing a previous tweet from KSI where he claimed he never pulled out of fights.
Danis quipped, “This aged well,” to which KSI retorted, clarifying that the fight is not canceled but merely postponed. He added, “Your punishment is just getting delayed.”
Continuing the banter, Danis fired back, stating, “Olajide, you pulled out. Ended the whole event. Little league baseball games get postponed, not multi-million dollar fight cards.”
As fans await news on a rescheduled date for the bout, it remains to be seen whether KSI can overcome his health issues and achieve his goal of defeating Danis once the fight is back on schedule.
