Lady Gaga has embraced a more natural aesthetic as she enters the New Year. Recently, the acclaimed singer posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, showcasing her bleached brows—a style she has confidently worn since March of last year—and almost no makeup.

In her intimate selfie video, Gaga marked the achievement of her recent hit “Die with a Smile,” featuring Bruno Mars, reaching the top position on the Billboard Hot 100. “I’m so incredibly grateful that my song ‘Die with a Smile’ with Bruno Mars, my friend, is number one on the Hot 100,” she expressed. “I can hardly believe I’ve scored two number ones across three different decades in my music career.”

The singer appeared nearly barefaced in her celebratory clip, possibly only enhancing her look with a hint of mascara. She donned her long, bleached-blonde locks down the middle and chose a fitted black t-shirt. To further commemorate her song’s success, she also shared a casual selfie in a gray shirt, continuing the theme of simplicity.

While the bleached brow trend is not a new development for Gaga, her no-makeup appearances are relatively rare. The artist is known for her bold and artistic beauty choices, especially on the red carpet. During her promotional tour for Joker Folie à Deux, she opted for striking looks, such as bright blue eyeshadow combined with a tear of glitter, and even sported a dramatic dark red lip alongside a bold, structural headpiece.
