Lady Gaga’s Resilient Performance at Coachella 2025
During her Coachella 2025 headline set, Lady Gaga showcased remarkable poise despite encountering technical difficulties.
On April 18, at the renowned Indio, California festival, the 39-year-old superstar faced an unexpected challenge when her microphone malfunctioned just minutes into her performance of “Abracadabra.”
In true professional fashion, Gaga quickly adapted to the situation, seamlessly switching to a handheld mic without missing a beat in her choreography. As the show progressed, she reemerged with a new headset, reclaiming her commanding presence on stage.
While seated at her piano, Gaga took a moment to address the microphone issue with transparency and humor, stating, “I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second. At least you know I sing live. I guess all we can do is our best, and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.” This candid acknowledgment resonated well with the audience and underscored her connection with fans.
Gaga kicked off her Coachella experience on the first weekend, April 11, with an impressive almost two-hour set at the Empire Polo Club. This performance marked her return to Coachella after previously stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Beyoncé in 2017.
Her first weekend included a mix of chart-topping hits from her extensive discography, along with songs from her latest album, Mayhem, which achieved a number one debut on the Billboard 200 in March. To learn more about Gaga’s debut weekend set, check out Billboard‘s review of her performance.
As Coachella’s second weekend unfolds, attendees can look forward to headlining acts from Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott, ensuring a packed schedule of performances through April 20.
