Lana Del Rey enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement around her new phase, as the song “Bluebird” has been unveiled as the latest sneak peek into her upcoming album.
Released just a week after “Henry, Come On” introduced fans to the sonic direction of her self-styled “country” album, “Bluebird” reinforces that her exploration of this genre may not adhere to traditional conventions.
Similar to its precursor, “Bluebird” offers another layer of emotional depth, as Del Rey combines delicately-strummed acoustic guitars with emotive string arrangements, all accentuated by her signature reverb-heavy vocals. Collaborating with Luke Laird and produced by Drew Erickson, the track showcases a fusion of country and folk elements, hinting that the forthcoming album could mark another significant milestone in her artistic journey.

As of now, there remains uncertainty about the precise release date of her new album, which initially stirred anticipation as Lasso set for a September unveiling. However, it has since been renamed The Right Person Will Stay, with a provisional launch set for May 10.
In light of the recent singles, Del Rey has shared that her upcoming 10th studio album continues to cultivate an aura of enigma. “You know it’s not going to come on time, right?” she remarked on April 11. “Should I even tell you that the name changed again? Should I tell you that now, while you’re so happy that you even have a song? Yeah, maybe I’ll wait.”
Del Rey’s previous works, including Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, and Blue Banisters, all experienced delays before launching into the world.
The artist is set to take the stage at Stagecoach on April 25, followed by a string of performances lined up across the U.K. in June and July. She is also scheduled to return to the U.S. for a performance at the Hinterland Music Festival in Iowa on August 3.
