Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon, Anderson Hunt, Greg Anthony, and their Runnin’ Rebels teammates are thrilled to announce an upcoming documentary that shines a light on their iconic 1990 NCAA Championship season. The players confidently assert that their team deserves recognition as the greatest in college basketball history.
In a recent interview, Johnson, Augmon, and Hunt shared details about the new project, titled UNLV: Kings Of Vegas. The documentary promises to present the authentic story of their celebrated team, revealing untold anecdotes from those who were actually part of the journey.
“It’s about time we get to share our perspective,” Hunt noted, expressing excitement at the opportunity to narrate their experiences.

The 1989-1990 Runnin’ Rebels, under the legendary guidance of Jerry Tarkanian, entered the NCAA tournament as a top seed. After impressive wins against Arkansas-Little Rock, Ohio State, Ball State, and Loyola Marymount, they faced Georgia Tech, leading to a pivotal showdown for a spot in the championship match.
Despite a close contest, UNLV triumphed over Kenny Anderson and Georgia Tech, setting up a highly anticipated championship game against the Duke Blue Devils, coached by Mike Krzyzewski.
