LE SSERAFIM’s ‘HOT’ Dominates New Music Poll
This week, the South Korean pop group LE SSERAFIM has captured the spotlight with its latest release, HOT, which topped a recent music poll conducted by Billboard. The survey, released on March 14, showcased a vast array of new music, but fans rallied behind LE SSERAFIM’s EP, granting it a remarkable 86% of the total votes.
Despite strong competition from renowned artists such as Chappell Roan, Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Playboi Carti, Haim, Sleep Token, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Peso Pluma, and Charley Crockett, LE SSERAFIM’s latest project prevailed. The group’s immense popularity is reflected not only in their poll victory but also in their growing fanbase globally.
HOT marks LE SSERAFIM’s fifth mini-album, following the success of their previous release, CRAZY, which achieved a noteworthy No. 7 ranking on the Billboard 200, setting a record for the group’s position on the prestigious all-genre albums chart.
Released on March 14, HOT includes five tracks: the title song “Hot,” along with “Born Fire,” “Come Over,” “Ash,” and “So Cynical (Badum).” Accompanying the album, the official music video for “Hot” debuted simultaneously, providing fans with an engaging visual experience. The anticipation for this project was built up through teasers shared in February by group members Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae.
Looking ahead, LE SSERAFIM is set to embark on their Easy Crazy Hot Tour in April, promoting their recent EP across several countries, including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. This tour is anticipated to elevate their already widespread popularity even further.
Trailing behind HOT in the music poll were a few notable releases: Chappell Roan’s new single, “The Giver,” received 4% of the votes; Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s collaboration, “Sunset Blvd,” captured 2%; and Playboi Carti’s album Music also garnered 2% of the vote.
