Another leaked glimpse of the iPhone 17 AirIt may be considerably slimmer than the iPhone 17 Pro MaxFour iPhone models anticipated in September
With approximately 150 days remaining until the unveiling of the iPhone 17 series, recent leaks showcasing non-functional dummy models provide insights into the thickness discrepancies between two of the upcoming devices.
These dummy models, which serve as mock-ups developed from supply chain schematics, were recently shared by the reputable leaker @MajinBuOfficial. The image displays the iPhone 17 Air alongside the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
According to circulating rumors, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to succeed the iPhone 16 Plus within Apple’s premium lineup, boasting a remarkably thin profile at just 5.84 mm, provided the leaks are correct.
This slimness is visually apparent in the images, contrasting significantly with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is anticipated to maintain the same thickness as the iPhone 16 Pro Max, measuring approximately 8.3 mm. This positions the Pro Max as 42% thicker than the Air model.

In addition to the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max, it is likely that Apple will unveil a standard iPhone 17 and an iPhone 17 Pro. Both Pro models are rumored to feature enhanced RAM capacity and various other upgrades.
Industry analyst Ross Young has reinforced his expectation that the iPhone 17 Air will feature a 6.55-inch display, along with standard functionalities such as MagSafe, in response to the original mock-up image.
If Apple adheres to its traditional release schedule, the new models are poised to launch in September. Prior to that, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June is expected to provide more details regarding iOS 19.
