Exciting New LEGO Sets from the Star Wars Universe Announced

The anticipated new collection of LEGO sets inspired by the Star Wars franchise is set to launch soon, showcasing popular characters such as the famed bounty hunter and his miniature sidekick. Alongside the sets featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu, other highlights consist of minifigures and models deriving from The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, all scheduled for release in January 2025.

In total, LEGO has unveiled six new sets linked to the beloved sci-fi universe, with a notable focus on elements from the immensely popular Mandalorian series. The first release caters to newcomers, featuring Mando & Grogu’s N-1 Starfighter, which includes minifigures of Grogu, Din Djarin, and R5, along with a compact model of the iconic spacecraft prominently showcased in season three of The Mandalorian as well as The Book of Boba Fett. Another exciting addition includes a detailed model of Grogu in his distinctive hover pram, accompanied by a minifigure representation of the show’s most cherished character. Given the immense success of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and the slate of upcoming films, it’s evident why these characters are central to the latest range of LEGO offerings.

The remaining four sets celebrate classic elements from The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor will be available at $44.99, featuring minifigures of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, and R7-43, alongside the Interceptor vehicle. Collectors can also look forward to the Acclamator-Class Assault Ship, a medium-sized model consisting of 450 pieces. Lastly, two of the more premium sets—Home One Starcruiser and the ARC-170 Starfighter—will be launched at a price point of $69.99, having appeared throughout various Star Wars narratives.

The Enduring Success of ‘Star Wars’ in the LEGO Realm

The Star Wars franchise has undeniably positioned itself as one of LEGO’s top-performing partnerships. Originating with the release of a simple X-Wing Starfighter back in 1999, the Star Wars LEGO line has evolved into a multimillion-dollar phenomenon showing remarkable growth potential. The introduction of contemporary titles, particularly The Mandalorian, has drawn in younger fans while simultaneously expanding on the beloved lore, generating a wealth of material ready for adaptation into LEGO form. Furthermore, the attention given to classic sets from earlier films and series demonstrates LEGO’s commitment to the expansive Star Wars universe, ensuring that both new and nostalgic properties are celebrated.

It seems reasonable to predict that The Mandalorian will continue to lead the charge for future LEGO releases in the coming years. While the prospects of a fourth season on Disney+ appear dim, the creative team has not entirely given up hope. Even so, fans can look forward to the continued adventures of the Mandalorian and Grogu in their upcoming film, ensuring their legacy endures. In the meantime, enthusiasts can catch up on previous episodes of The Mandalorian on Disney+ or prepare to secure one of the exciting new LEGO sets.
