LG Smart Monitor Swing: A Versatile Touchscreen SolutionCharge your laptop effortlessly with 65W USB-C — no additional charger neededTouchscreen and webOS functionality allows use without a PC
LG has unveiled its latest innovation, the Smart Monitor Swing, a 31.5-inch 4K UHD touchscreen monitor that aims to transform user interaction with screens in various environments.
This monitor features an IPS panel with an impressive resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, supporting multitouch capabilities for intuitive engagement with applications and documents.
Equipped with three USB-C ports and two HDMI inputs, the Smart Monitor Swing offers versatile connectivity options. Notably, one of the USB-C ports can deliver up to 65W Power Delivery, enabling it to power most business laptops available today. Additionally, a discreet rear adapter is designed to minimize cable clutter, setting this monitor apart from many competitors in the business monitor category.
Enhanced Mobility Features
A standout aspect of the Smart Monitor Swing is its innovative all-in-one wheeled stand, inspired by LG’s portable StanbyME smart TV. This stand not only enhances portability but also provides functionalities like height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and the ability to pivot the monitor between landscape and portrait orientations.
Further enriching the user experience is LG’s proprietary webOS platform, which includes direct access to essential applications such as Microsoft Office and YouTube. The Smart Monitor Swing can operate cloud PC services independently, eliminating the necessity for a separate computer.
While this monitor draws on several highlights from the StanbyME line, it streamlines the design by omitting features like a built-in battery and remote control, focusing instead on a cleaner and more productivity-centric configuration.
By combining advanced smart features with portability, the LG Smart Monitor Swing positions itself strongly within the competitive landscape of portable monitors.
Although LG has yet to confirm its pricing and global availability, the monitor is set to be released in Korea on April 24, with a price tag of 1,049,000 won (around $735).
