Linkin Park Tops U.K. Charts with ‘From Zero’
Linkin Park has achieved a significant milestone by securing its fourth No. 1 album in the U.K. with their latest release, From Zero. This marks the band’s first full-length album since the tragic loss of former lead vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017.
The nu-metal icons’ eighth studio album not only commemorates their legacy but also introduces new members Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain to the lineup. From Zero joins the ranks of their previous chart-topping albums: Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007), and Living Things (2012), all of which have left a lasting impact on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart.
In September, Linkin Park made a highly anticipated return after a seven-year break with their comeback single, “The Emptiness Machine.” This track achieved notable success, peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbing to No. 4 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. Following this revival, the band has announced an extensive world tour set for 2025, which will feature performances across the U.K., Europe, North America, and South America, including a highly anticipated show at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 28, alongside special guests Spiritbox and JPEGMAFIA.
In other chart news, British girl group FLO has made a remarkable debut, landing at No. 3 with their anticipated album Access All Areas. This accomplishment marks the highest chart position for an R&B girl group in 21 years. Similarly, Shawn Mendes has returned to the charts, securing the No. 22 spot with Shawn, his fifth top 40 album in the U.K. and his first in six years.
Sabrina Carpenter continues her strong performance with her album Short N’ Sweet, maintaining a position in the top five at No. 2. Meanwhile, Chappell Roan remains steady with her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Earlier this week, Roan was named on the BBC’s longlist for the Sound Of 2025 competition, with the winner set to be announced in the coming year.
K-pop sensation ATEEZ also adds to their chart success with GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2, which finishes at No. 4, marking their fourth top 10 record in the U.K. Their previous release, The World EP.Fin: Will, reached No. 2 in December 2023.
