Logitech Enhances MX Creative Console with New Software Update
Logitech is set to roll out a significant software update for its MX Creative Console, which debuted last fall. This update introduces extended compatibility with various applications, marking a notable advancement for users seeking enhanced functionality in their creative processes. The improved software is now available for download in the Logi Marketplace, boasting powerful new integrations specifically for Final Cut Pro, along with plugins designed to support widely used applications such as Adobe Lightroom and Figma.
In partnership with Adobe, the updated Lightroom plugin for the MX Creative Console allows users to effortlessly straighten images by simply twisting the large dial controller. Additionally, the console’s keypad features customizable LCD buttons that enable quick access to shortcuts for rating and flagging images, streamlining the editing workflow.
The integration with Figma harnesses the console’s keypad to expedite tasks such as aligning text and modifying spacing and layout designs. Users can also utilize the dial to alter text size and weight, further enhancing design capabilities.
When it launched in October, the MX Creative Console came equipped with a range of plugins for Adobe applications including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, and Lightroom Classic. With the recent update, support has expanded to encompass the cloud-based version of Adobe Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Figma, and Affinity Photo—an alternative to Photoshop.
According to Anatoliy Polyanker, the general manager of Logitech’s MX Business Unit, “We have heard from the community that the MX Creative Console not only speeds up their workflow but has increased their productivity and made work easier. Adding these highly requested plugins will unlock the MX Creative Console’s potential for a broader range of creative professionals.” This feedback highlights how the console is becoming an essential tool for creators looking to optimize their workflow and efficiency across a variety of applications.
