Logout will be available for streaming on ZEE5 on April 18, 2025.

The creators of Logout have revealed the trailer for this upcoming thriller, helmed by Amit Golani and scripted by Biswapati Sarkar. The film is poised to offer a potent blend of suspense and drama, featuring notable performances from Babil Khan, Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan.

The narrative revolves around Pratyush (played by Babil Khan), a 26-year-old social media influencer on the brink of amassing 10 million followers. However, his life takes a sinister turn as he becomes ensnared in a terrifying cat-and-mouse game driven by an obsessive fan, which dismantles his carefully constructed online persona. Logout delves into the pressing contemporary issue of digital dependence, striking a chord with audiences by highlighting the risks of being ensnared in a digital landscape. With a timely and relevant premise, the film is expected to engage viewers and evoke reflections on the pervasive influence of technology and the protection of our online identities.

In discussing the project, Director Amit Golani expressed, “Working on Logout has proven to be a deeply fulfilling journey. At its essence, the film examines the intricate and often unsettling ties individuals have with their dependency on the digital realm—particularly our increasing attachment to smartphones. It reflects how this dependence has infiltrated all facets of contemporary life and illustrates the vulnerability we face without our devices. My goal was to encapsulate that tension in a manner that feels both intense and strikingly relatable. Babil has remarkably interpreted his role, bringing authenticity and depth to his character. I am tremendously proud of our collective efforts.”

Writer Biswapati Sarkar elaborated, stating, “Crafting the screenplay for Logout has been an exhilarating experience, particularly as the situations depicted resonate with the anxieties of modern life. The concept of being trapped within a digital sphere without an avenue for escape mirrors genuine concerns that many of us grapple with today.”

Babil Khan shared his enthusiasm regarding the project, expressing eagerness for audiences to experience it. “This role has truly ventured beyond my comfort zone, immersing me within the digital sphere—an environment both captivating and unpredictably perilous. Portraying a contemporary influencer while navigating the layers of virtual success presented a unique challenge, especially considering how divergent my character is from my actual personality. I take great pride in being part of a narrative that is so pertinent to today’s society, shedding light on the darker aspects of our online existence. Logout is a thrilling, rapid-paced drama, and I look forward to viewers accompanying my character, Pratyush, on this intense journey.”

Logout is set to launch on ZEE5 on April 18, 2025.
