Trailer Released for M3GAN 2.0
The iconic doll that took the entertainment world by storm in 2023 is making a return. Universal Pictures has unveiled the trailer for M3GAN 2.0. In this sequel, two years after the first installment, the AI doll, M3GAN, infamous for her chilling rampage, is back in a new narrative twist.
Now a noted author and a vocal advocate for artificial intelligence regulations, M3GAN’s creator, Gemma (Allison Williams), faces fresh challenges. Meanwhile, her niece, Cady (Violet McGraw), is now 14 and is rebelling against Gemma’s stringent protection measures. Directed by Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN 2.0 is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025.
Liam Neeson Stars in New The Naked Gun Teaser
Paramount Pictures has debuted the teaser for the reboot of The Naked Gun series, featuring notable performances from Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. Neeson takes on the role of Frank Drebin Jr., the progeny of the original character made famous by Leslie Nielsen.
In a comically intense heist scene, a menacing figure confronts a child with a lollipop, asking, “What do you want, little one?” To which she boldly responds, “Your ass,” before unmasking to reveal Neeson’s character. The scene escalates into a chaotic fight. Neeson humorously assures viewers he represents “Police Squad…the new version.” This installment is slated for release on August 1, 2025.
First Images of Nicole Kidman in Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2
Hulu has shared exclusive first-look images featuring Nicole Kidman in the upcoming second season of Nine Perfect Strangers. Season 2 promises to bring a fresh ensemble of nine strangers to the picturesque setting of Zauberwald in the stunning Austrian Alps, where they will engage in Masha’s (Kidman) unconventional psychedelic therapy.
The new season is set to premiere on May 21, 2025, with the first two episodes available at launch, to be followed by weekly episodes on Hulu.

New Trailer for The Accountant 2 Released
Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled a fresh trailer for The Accountant 2, featuring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal. Continuing the story of Christian Wolff, portrayed by Affleck, the film follows him as he navigates complex problems and emotional turmoil after a former acquaintance is killed, leaving a cryptic message: “find the accountant.”
Wolff seeks the assistance of his estranged and deadly brother, Brax (Bernthal), as they work with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) to uncover a dangerous conspiracy, becoming targets of a lethal group intent on keeping their secrets hidden. The film is scheduled to premiere on April 25.
Sarah Silverman Returns with New Netflix Special Postmortem
Emmy-winning comedian Sarah Silverman will be releasing her second original comedy special titled Postmortem on Netflix on May 20. In this special, Silverman tackles the topic of grief with her unique humor, reflecting on her parents’ recent passing.

Through her signature style, she explores the humor found in the grim realities of life and death, sharing anecdotes such as discovering the “deal of a lifetime” while organizing their funerals and the poignant experience of hearing her mother’s final words. Directed by Silverman herself and produced by Amy Zvi and John Skidmore, Postmortem was filmed at New York’s Beacon Theater.
Bruce Springsteen Announces Tracks II: The Lost Albums
Bruce Springsteen is set to release the box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which will feature a remarkable collection of seven unreleased albums recorded between 1983 and 2018, alongside 74 brand-new songs. In a promotional video, Springsteen explains that he felt certain albums were incomplete at the time of their creation.
He mentions his gradual accumulation of these unreleased works, which have now come to represent a significant piece of his artistic journey. Tracks II: The Lost Albums is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025.
The Academy Launches the Janet Yang Endowment

Today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the establishment of the Janet Yang Endowment, created to honor and advance Asian and AAPI filmmakers. Part of the Academy100 campaign, this initiative aims to broaden the Academy’s global outreach and ensure a vibrant future for the arts.
The endowment is named after Janet Yang, the Academy’s first Asian American president, recognizing her contributions to diversity in the film industry. It will provide ongoing support for Asian and AAPI programming at the Academy Museum and safeguard related film artifacts within the Academy Collection, ensuring these voices are celebrated and preserved for future generations.
