Rabih Kayrouz: A Timeless Evolution in Fashion

Designer Rabih Kayrouz embodies the concept of fashion as a continuous journey rather than a series of seasonal trends. He believes that the essence of fashion transcends time, revealing an ongoing evolution of shapes that convey deep emotion and elegance.

In discussing his approach, Kayrouz shared, “I find it challenging to articulate a specific theme or genre each season. While it might seem like I’m revisiting familiar territory, the changes in fabrics, colors, and overall attitude ensure that no two collections are ever the same.”

For the upcoming fall collection, Kayrouz has chosen luxurious satin and silk, displaying a bold color palette that includes vibrant shades of fuchsia, orange, silver, chocolate, and teal green. He refers to these hues as “vitamin colors,” intended to evoke a sense of uplift and vitality.

Kayrouz is known for embracing ample volumes that reflect a spontaneous sense of movement. His designs feature defined cinched waists, sculpted hips, and signature cocoon silhouettes, creating a tactile conversation between the material and the wearer’s spirit. “It’s like enveloping a woman in a gesture,” he explains.

This philosophy is showcased in various pieces throughout the collection. A striking fuchsia coat captures the essence of streamlined design, while a fitted black dress flares dramatically at the hem, skillfully balancing structure and freedom. Among the standout pieces is a halter neck gown, crafted in a fluid, silvery fabric adorned with intricate woven trim, echoing the couture work featured at the Louvre Couture, which may also make appearances during the upcoming film and gala season. Additionally, a stunning fuchsia bustier gown promises to be another highlight.

The most practical pieces in this collection included jackets, trenches, and coats available in white, beige, fuchsia, and teal. These garments are designed to be timeless staples, intended for year-round wear. Kayrouz emphasized, “Here, there are no rigid rules—only an invitation to feel strong, visible, and radiant.” This sentiment is particularly resonant given his decade-long presence in a charming converted artist’s atelier located in the 6th arrondissement, where he has progressively established himself as a coveted designer. His offerings in this collection are sure to appeal to devoted followers, presenting pieces that will likely become treasured staples in their wardrobes.
