This follows a recent tragic event during a Pushpa 2 screening in Hyderabad, which resulted in a woman’s death.
Fans of Allu Arjun are hailing Pushpa 2 as a major success.
A troubling event occurred in Telangana on December 5, where a man and his acquaintances caused havoc at a local theatre. Reports indicate that the disturbance took place in Chennur, located in Mancherial district, after an individual named Bajjuri Vinay became enraged when the theatre did not show the eagerly awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The news agency ANI reported that Vinay allegedly smashed the glass windows of the Srinivas Theatre as he and his friends trespassed onto the premises to protest the theatre’s management. Additionally, he is accused of issuing death threats to the theatre owner, Rajamalla Goud, if the film was not screened. Authorities have since registered a complaint against him, and he has been charged under applicable legal provisions.
This incident comes on the heels of another unfortunate event that occurred just a day prior at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during a screening of Pushpa 2. The situation escalated as large crowds gathered to see Allu Arjun, who was present at the event with music director Devi Sri Prasad. In the chaos, the theatre’s main entrance collapsed, leading to a stampede that tragically resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, while her 9-year-old son suffered serious injuries. Reports have also noted that actor Allu Arjun is among those who have been connected to the incident.
Following this chaos, Mythri Movie Makers, the production company behind Pushpa 2, released a statement expressing their devastation over the tragic event. “We are extremely heartbroken by the tragic incident during last night’s screening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the young child undergoing medical treatment. We are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult time,” they conveyed.
Pushpa 2: The Rule has been one of the most anticipated films of the year, receiving remarkable acclaim from audiences. With its opening day earnings reaching Rs 175 crore, the film has made a significant mark in the box office landscape.
