Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala celebrated the start of the new year in Kathmandu, Nepal, surrounded by family and friends. The actress enjoyed an evening filled with music and dance, alongside renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.
An Instagram video captured the festive spirit of the night, featuring a local singer performing “Tum Se Hi,” a beloved romantic track from Ali’s acclaimed 2007 movie “Jab We Met,” which stars Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. The enchanting vocals created a delightful atmosphere, drawing the guests into the emotive power of the song.
Following the enchanting performance, Koirala and Ali were seen entertaining themselves with a lively rendition of “Aaj Main Upar” from Koirala’s own 1996 film “Khamoshi: The Musical.” The 54-year-old actress further contributed to the festivities by joining the local band for additional singing, enhancing the joyous event. Koirala’s recent work includes her role as Mallikajaan in the much-anticipated series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Released in May 2024, this eight-episode series also stars prominent actors such as Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Taha Shah Badussha. Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ali is in the midst of production for his new film “The Idiot of Istanbul,” featuring celebrated Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil and Triptii Dimri.
