Cliffhanger Games has been relatively silent regarding their forthcoming Black Panther game, but recently leaked information has surfaced, sparking enthusiasm among fans. A significant detail revealed is that players will encounter a pivotal decision early in the game.
Originally announced by EA in 2023, the game is crafted by the newly established Cliffhanger Games team. Set as a single-player adventure, players will step into the role of Black Panther amidst the vibrant culture of Wakanda. However, specific updates about the game have been scarce since the initial announcement.
Now, new leaks have come to light, uncovering various aspects and features, including an important choice regarding the character you will embody.
Black Panther Game Allows Character Selection
The characters available for selection are expected to be well-known figures familiar to fans. Notably, T’Challa, who was played by Chadwick Boseman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his sister, Shuri, who takes on the role in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” are among the candidates.
Other intriguing options may include T’Challa’s grandfather, Azari, head of the Jabari Tribe, M’Baku, and even Killmonger, the notorious antagonist raised outside Wakanda who sought power for himself.
The leaker further mentioned that the character selected will set the stage for “unique stories, missions, and dynamics” throughout the game, adapting based on the player’s choices. This dynamic relationship means that choosing Killmonger, for example, would likely lead to vastly different interactions and challenges compared to opting for T’Challa or Shuri.
Additionally, the leaks provided further insight into gameplay mechanics that had previously remained undisclosed.
Every character in the game is poised to have access to distinct gadgets and weaponry, likely encouraging varied gameplay styles. Moreover, combat will integrate elements of authentic African martial arts, balanced with the superhuman capabilities characteristic of the Black Panther.
Players will have the chance to traverse a variety of cities and landscapes within Wakanda, encountering multiple tribes with their own unique beliefs and cultures along the way.
Currently, there is no confirmed release date for EA’s Black Panther game, as developers indicated a lengthy development process ahead when it was announced. Nevertheless, with information beginning to circulate, fans are eager for more news in the near future.
In the meantime, fans can explore other upcoming games set for release in 2025, including details on “1943: Rise of Hydra” and Insomniac’s “Wolverine.”
